OTET 2024 Notification Out, Application Form, Exam Date & Eligibility Criteria
OTET 2024 - Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) Notification 2024 was released by the Board of Secondary Education Odisha on their official website on 21 June 2024. As BSE Odisha is seeking application forms from eligible candidates, the application window will remain open from 24 June 2024 to 5 July 2024.
To apply for the OTET 2024 Paper I and II, candidates must complete an online application form following the official notification release. The application process requires candidates to furnish personal details, upload necessary documents including a photograph and signature, and submit the required fee by the specified deadline.

OTET 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates need to fulfil the eligibility criteria to appear for the OTET 2024 Exam. The OTET eligibility criteria 2024 for Paper I and II is mentioned below.
Category - A (Paper I)
• Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education (CT or D.EI.Ed.) OR
• Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) in accordance with the NCTE (Recognised Norms and Procedure) Regulations,2002. OR
• Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2 years Diploma in Education (Special Education). OR
• Graduation and two year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). OR
• Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) on the condition that who has acquired the qualification of Bachelor of Education from any NCTE Recognised Institution shall be considered for appointment as a teacher in classes I to V provided the person so appointment as a teacher shall mandatorily under go a six month Bridge Course in Elementary recognised by the NCTE, within 2 years of such appointment as primary teacher.
Category-B (Paper-ll)
• Graduation and 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). OR
• Graduation with at least 50% marks and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.).OR
• Graduation with at least 45% marks and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.).in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms & Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard. OR
• Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years B.A /B.Sc., Ed or B.A.Ed. / B.Sc. Ed. OR
• Graduation with at least 50% marks and 1 year B.Ed. (Special Education).
OTET 2024 Exam Pattern
• There shall be two Papers of the OTET viz- Paper - I & Paper - II.
• The total duration of the test in each paper shall be 2 ½ hours
• All the questions will be Multiple Choice Questions, each carrying one mark, with four alternative out of which one answer will be correct.
• The question papers in non-language subjects shall be bilingual i.e. in Odia & English.
• The following languages shall be offered in Language- I :- Odia,Hindi,Telugu,Urdu,Bengali. The candidates has to choose any one of the above language for the Language- I subjects.
• Language - II subject shall be English for all candidates.
• There shall be no negative marking.
OTET 2024 Exam Date

How to apply OTET 2024 Application Form?
1. Go to the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) Odisha’s official website:- bseodisha.ac.in.
2. Click on the OTET 2024 link & register as a new user by providing basic details such as name, email & mobile number.
3. Use the registered credentials to log in.
4. Complete the online application form will personal, educational, and professional details.
5. Upload scanned copies of required documents such as photographs, signature, and relevant certificates as specified in the guidelines.
6. Pay the application fee online using net banking, Credit/Debit or other available options.
7. Review the filled in application form for any errors, then submit it.
8. After successful submission into the confirmation page or the completed application form for future reference.
